It is jointly published by Global Mangrove Alliance, Blue Carbon Initiative, led by University of Queensland, Conservation International, Wetlands International, Blue Marine Foundation, and the International Blue Carbon Institute. Dozens of scientific experts and users were also engaged in the development of this manual.
